MPS (Multi Purpose Software)
The MPS package with a new user-friendly Microsoft Windows-based user interface enables loss-free acquisition and evaluation of IR image data in real time. MPS has all the functions required for general research work, for recording image series and for pulse thermography.
MPS 5 Standard supports all basic functions such as...
- Camera control: setting the position and size of the field of view (subframes), integration time, image refresh rates
- Lossless transfer of the 14-bit IR image data to the control computer in real time
- Presentation of live images/live sequences in real time
- Settings for sequence recording (averaging over images, pause between images)
- Support for various trigger options: e.g. hardware trigger (via camera head), pre-trigger (also recording images before the signal) or scene-based
- Free selection of formed ROIs and LOIs (Regions/Lines Of Interest), which can also be analyzed individually (histograms, profiles, transients)
- Selection of template colour palettes and definition of new colour palettes for visualising IR intensities
- Free selection of the 8-bit window from the 14-bit data for conversion into grey values / false colours
- Data export in various formats (Bitmaps, ASCII, AVI,...)
MPS 5 Extended supports additional functions such as...
- Real-time processing of 14 bit images for application-specific measurement, testing and evaluation algorithms
- Implementation of additional thermal stimulation sources (flash heads, laser, ultrasound, cold/hot air, power supplies, induction, etc.)
- Frame-synchronous recording of an external analog signal
- Application-specific interfaces for process control
- Control of camera head and image data transmission via optical fibre
- Additional trigger control: subsampling of extremely fast periodic events
- remote control (via network), control of the motorized focus
- Script language for automization of complex measurement sequences: recording of measurement data, data analysis and saving
- Evaluation algorithms for heat flow thermography (e. g. fast Fourier transforms FFT, lock-in)
- Stress analysis of material (thermoelastic and thermoplastic effects)
- IR-microscopy (resolution down to approx. 3 µm, with solid immersion lens down to 1 µm)
- Control of motorized filter changers and frame synchronous rotating high-speed filter wheels
- Alternating integration time for higher temperaturetemperature
Measure of thermal energy density dynamics, module "radiometry" for highly precise measurement of absolute temperatures (standard 0 - 1200°C, optional up to 2800°C) - Blackbody control
