Leak Testing
Increased demands on gas tightness of components play a key role in production in a wide range of industries: pipes and tanks have to withstand high gas pressure if they are to fulfil their function.
Thermal imaging allows these technical components to be inspected for leaks quickly and easily. The component is filled with a special test gas that has certain optical characteristics in the infrared range.
The IR camera can then visualise even the smallest quantities of escaping test gas so that its leakage rate can be quantified.
