Quality Control for Weld Seams

The quality of weld seams can be inspected precisely with various thermal imaging methods such as pulse thermography. The test part is briefly subjected to inhomogeneous heating and the heat transfer of the weld seam is measured. The heat image sequences are recorded with the IR camera and processed using special algorithms. The entire inspection operation from heating through to the result takes less than a second.
